We received some great news recently when a letter popped through our letter box explaining that one of my images had been shortlisted in the 2010 Master Photography awards!

The shortlisted image was one which I took whilst on a New Years break in Northumberland with my wife and two crazy dogs. It was taken at 7.30am on New Years day on Warkworth beach and I had never experienced weather like it before – one heck of a snow storm!

The photograph will join others from across the world that will adorn the wall of fame at the forthcoming awards dinner and presentation ceremony that takes place on Sunday 17th October at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. The overall Master Photographer of the Year will be chosen from these shortlisted entries.

The Master Photography Awards are the most prestigious awards for photography in the UK and feature the cream of todays photographic talent from all over the world and so gaining a placement in the finals is a great honour.

Fingers crossed hey!

Fabulous image Liam. I hope it’s up on your wall.

Wow, what an image. Such atmosphere in one frame – absolutely beautiful.
