Wedding Photographs FAQS
• DO I NEED TO BOOK A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER NEAR ME?
Absolutely not. Most wedding photographers shoot UK wide and travel is not a problem. Most, like us, will include travel and accommodation within their prices. We regularly photograph weddings in London, Scotland, Wales, and even Europe.
• HOW MUCH DOES WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY COST?
Fees for wedding photographers vary vastly. It's important to understand that top quality wedding photography usually comes at a premium. High end wedding imagery creation is a time consuming process and can take many days in the editing stage to get right. Expect to pay between £2000 - £3000 for an experienced award winning wedding photographer.
• ARE PRICES NEGOTIABLE?
This all depends on the wedding photography company. Some wedding photography companies can be flexible on prices. For example, some wedding photographers may offer a lower rate for a mid week wedding or an off peak wedding.
• SHOULD I BOOK AN AWARD WINNING WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
If you would like to book an award winning photographer look out for wedding photographers who have awards with - The wedding industry awards (TWIA), Fearless photographers, International society and wedding and portrait photographers (ISPWP). These awards are generally seen as the top awards to win in the wedding photography industry. The Crawleys are proud to be award winning wedding photographers and are the 2019 wedding photographer of the year through TWIA.

Wedding Photography FAQS
• DO I NEED MORE THAN ONE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
This all depends on the size of the wedding and what's planned. We usually shoot our weddings with just one photographer, however, we will use a second photographer for large Jewish, Indian, and Greek weddings when there are over 200 guests. A single photographer is usually more than capable of photographing a western style wedding with up to 200 guests.
• HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
At least 12 months in advance. Some, like us, book up super quickly. We sometimes take bookings two years in advance. Top quality wedding photographers book up fast!
• WHAT STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHER SHOULD I BOOK?
There are many styles of wedding photography available and the style you choose should reflect who you are as people. If you're not interested in posing, you should book a documentary photographer. If you want bride and groom portraits with minimal posing, you should should look for an alternative / creative wedding photographer. If you want lots of bride and groom portraits / group shots you should look for a traditional wedding photographer. Our style is a mixture of documentary and creative portraits.
• SHOULD I MEET MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER BEFORE BOOKING THEM?
This isn't necessary, however, it would be a good idea to have a short phone conversation or Skype session with the wedding photographer to make sure you all get on well before committing to book.
