I love a good old tipi wedding but I’d never photographed one in winter before. Step forward two ballsy party people, Jess and Charlie! These guys don’t like rules … they are proper party people who had a vision to go against the grain and have a tipi wedding, in the winter! And why the hell not! If you think about it, the inside of these tipis are always super cosy and well lit with fair lights and log fires … super festive, so it makes sense to have one in December. Jess and Charlie had their tipi wedding in Jess’ parents back garden on the Wirral. Their said their ‘i do’s’ and the local family church and then it was back to the house for the party. The whole day was full of laughter, lots of laughter, and more laughter. The weather wasn’t playing ball … in fact, it was absolutely freezing and blowing a gale! At one point, we thought the tipi might take off! The weather really didn’t make a difference to the mood, like I said, these guys are party people and that just what they did.

Here are the highlights from their winter tipi wedding.
