Hello, thanks for dropping in on our blog .. we are The Crawleys, multi award winning UK wedding photographers and destination wedding photographers. With many couples deciding to have smaller weddings, elopements or even postpone weddings until next year, we thought it would be fun to put together some Airbnb properties that would be amazing for you to have a post wedding minimoon or even just a “we didn’t get married but we’re still going to celebrate” trip. With European and international travel still looking a little bit dodgy for the forseeable, why not explore some of the fantastic locations that the U.K has to offer? From 1801-1805 The Austen family lived in this beautiful home in Bath. The apartment is well positioned and close to the city centre with easy to walk to local restaurants, pubs and places of attraction. 5. REIMAGINED MANOR FARM MILL HOUSE | DITTISHAM, DEVON

Not only does Fingals Folly ooze character, it also has access to a sauna, swimming pool and sun loungers and an outdoor kitchen. It really does have to be seen to be believed. An absolute gem. As far as outside space goes, the Folly has an upstairs balcony that overlooks the grass tennis court and you can also relax on the deck (in a unique chair that looks exactly like a boat) right next to the babbling Barberry Brook stream. Heaven.

6. CLASSICAL APARTMENT ON THE ROYAL MILE | EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND

Amazing location, beautiful apartment and everything inside you could wish for. It is beautifully decorated with oak-panelled walls, wooden window shutters, warm parquet floors surround, many thoughtful and inspiring pieces and filled with amazing art books – you can even read in a secret bed box behind floor-to-ceiling shelves. This has minimoon escape written all over it.

7. LOVELY COURTYARD COTTAGE | NR. ABERGAVENNY, WALES

This lovely little Welsh cottage just 4 miles from Abergavenny has been featured in none other than Conde Nast Traveller’s Best Airbnbs in the UK. Court Cottage is newly renovated and located in the grounds of a country house near the impressive Black Mountains. A former coach house, it retains its original features of stone walls, exposed beams and arched windows with some modern additions like a cosy log burner.

8. 17TH CENTURY COTSWOLD COTTAGE

Wake up to a picture postcard quintessetial Cotswold village of Kingham. This wonderfully cute and cosy cottage has a log burner, fully fitted kitchen and all the comforts of home. The cottage is handily just a stones throw from the delightful Wild Rabbit Inn which serves delicious food. The house is a true gem and a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds.

Asphodel Cottage is located in the peacful village of Tarlton (close to Cirencester and Prince Charles’ Tetbury) and looks out onto beautiful panoramic countryside. It is clad in wonderfully smelling cedar wood and is well furnsihed. There are a plethora of walks from the doorstep with access through a beautiful deer park that is just a 5 minute walk from the treehouse. A picture-perfect romantic and private woodland retreat for couples.

17. LUXURY SHEPHERD’S HUT WITH HOT TUB | DERBYSHIRE

The only Shepherd’s Hut to have made it to our list, The Sheepfold is a corker. Located on a family farm in the village of Litton, with superb views of the Peak District and wonderful walks direct from the door. Surprisingly spacious, it has en suite shower room, kitchen, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. The village itself has a pub and shop and The Sheepfold is an excellent base for access to Chatsworth, Castleton, Buxton, Bakewell and the Monsal Trail.

18. CHARACTER APARTMENT IN LEEDS CITY CENTRE

Only a few urban properties made it onto our list, and The Heaton is one of them –  an open-plan flat within a former Georgian merchant’s villa. Just a 10 minute walk from the city centre it is in the perfect loaction for exploring Headingley and the surrounding areas.

19. LUXURY BARN IN NARBERTH | PEMBROKESHIRE

The Cow Shed is a cosy place in a great location within seconds from the centre of Narberth. Narberth is lovely village with lots of shops, cafes to explore and great places to eat. There are heaps of good walks and activities in the surrounding beautiful Pembrokshire countryside, including sea kayaking and horse riding.

20. THE CHOCOLATE BOX HOUSE SECONDS TO THE BEACH | ADLEBURGH

The Chocolate Box is perfectly positioned on a quiet road just a stone’s throw from Aldeburgh beach and tucked just off Aldeburgh High Street. It is a charming cottage with an abundance of natural light, high ceilings and a cosy fireplace. With a roll-top bathtub, bespoke kitchen, old oak dining table and a sun-trap courtyard (and did we mention just seconds from the beach) there’s not much more you could ask for in this beautiful house.

21. ROMANTIC COTTAGE RETREAT NEAR LANCASTER CASTLE

We have another copper bath – and it’s big enough for 2 people! Every inch of Castle View (it overlooks the Castle btw) has been designed to perfection – the wood-burning fireplace makes it feel super cosy and yet it’s light and airy inside, thanks to white paneling and skylights. The ‘secret bedroom’ has definitely intrigued us! A perfect romantic escape.

22. CUTE MICRO HOME A STROLL FROM WINDERMERE’S LAKES

Small but perfectly formed. The Scandi Hut may be small but it is mighty – with a king size bed, ambient fire, mini fridge, coffee station, entertainment system, and en suite bathroom all housed in cosy wood panelling, it is the perfect base to explore the lakes of the Lake District.

Deanburn Barn is a beautiful and stylish, straw bale barn located at the end of a private drive on the edge of the impressive Dartmoor National Park. Sitting amongst beautiful, ancient beech trees the barn is an ideal place to come and relax and to leave the world behind.

The history here is real – Mary Queen of Scot’s chamber at Neidpath Castle is quite possibly the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Old Smock Mill is a stunning four storey windmill that has been carefully been restored to a very high level. With exposed beams galore, a Beatrix Potter style garden and amazing views out of the windows this mill is a true stunner.  The village of Benenden is around a 10 minute walk and is the closest village and the local beach is Camber sands with its fantastic sand dunes and wide open sandy beaches.

The cabin is located at Corry Meadow on a working croft with rare breed cattle, sheep and 62 acres of land for you to explore. It is a great escape for those doing the NC500 or for anyone looking for a unique and homely stay. Almost off-grid, it still has all the amenities (and wifi!) to keep you cosy and comfortable.
